Registration

When signing up for MindSync, users are required to provide certain basic mandatory information such as their email address, name and password. This information is used to access your account every time you visit the website and to keep your study progress synchronized across devices.

Information Collection

MindSync collects both anonymous and personally identifiable information from users to improve security, analyze trends, and administer the site. This includes study activity (reviews, streaks and accuracy) that powers your progress dashboard.

For signed-in accounts, we also record feature categories, platform (web, Android or iOS), approximate active session time, and AI credit usage to understand and improve MindSync. These insights are restricted to administrators. Activity timing excludes background and idle time; it does not collect message text, search terms or social browsing content.

Support messages and screenshots

When you submit a support or business message, we retain the email address and message you provide, limited technical context such as language, device platform and screen size, and up to five optional screenshots for issue reports. These are stored in a private admin inbox and are visible only to authorized administrators for support and debugging. Administrators can download a ZIP export of the reports. Authorized administrators may also send account-specific service or support messages to your private in-app Profile inbox; those messages and their read status are visible only to your account and authorized administrators. We do not collect passwords, cookies, authentication tokens or IP addresses as part of this report metadata.

Information Usage

Information that users provide is used for responding to requests, personalizing your learning experience, improving the website, and communication. Leaderboards are enabled by default for accounts. Unless you turn participation off, the profile fields described below are visible to other signed-in members. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Schools, leaderboards and the learning map

Updated 21 October 2026. During account setup or profile editing, you can select a school from the public Sohopathi directory. Students who select the same directory ID share a school leaderboard. If your school is missing, you can keep your entered name; new custom entries are not automatically renamed. For existing accounts, we may make a one-time conservative match to the closest supported directory entry. Ambiguous names remain unchanged. You can correct your school in your profile.

We may use Google's Gemini and Google Search to identify the school's city or local area. Only the school name and public directory page are sent for this lookup, not your name, email, phone or study history. We cache the resulting approximate school area and supporting sources and may reuse them for other students. This is not your residence or device location. Uncertain results leave the area unassigned.

Leaderboard participation starts on for new and existing accounts, and the signup terms disclose this account feature. Other signed-in members can see your name, profile photo, school, achievement level, selected badges and weekly study points in global, school and area rankings, including class filters. The participation toggle below the leaderboard hides you from all rankings and the map when turned off. Already-open pages may take about one minute to refresh. You can keep studying and earning rewards while hidden. Turning participation back on retains your frozen weekly competition.

The Bangladesh map shows schools and approximate area counts for participating existing and new learners, without requiring recent study activity. If a reliable area record is unavailable, the map may show a broad area based on the school information. It does not show student names, photos or personal IDs. Dots use area centres; this feature collects no GPS or live device location. Glowing outlines show Bangladesh's eight division boundaries and land borders with neighboring countries; coastlines and ocean borders are not highlighted. OpenStreetMap provides map tiles. Opening the map makes browser requests to the tile provider, which can receive your IP address and the map tiles viewed.

Changing schools or areas may retain your already-started competition scope until the next week. Turning participation off also hides your rows in past rankings. Account deletion removes your personal profile, ranking memberships and study records; public school directory entries and school-area evidence unlinked from your account may remain. Use a leaderboard report button or our contact form to report inaccurate or inappropriate profile information.

Cookies

MindSync uses cookies to identify a user's computer or session for improving the user experience — for example, keeping you signed in. You can configure your browser to prevent cookies from being set on your computer, though some features may not work correctly without them.

Security Measures

MindSync has in place appropriate technical and security measures to prevent unauthorized or unlawful access to, or accidental loss, destruction or damage of, user information. Despite these measures, it is noted that transmitting information via the internet is never completely secure.

Your Consent

By using the MindSync website and providing personal information, you agree to the terms of MindSync's online privacy policy and to its processing of such personal information for the purposes explained in this policy.

Data Deletion Request

At MindSync, we respect your right to privacy and control over your personal information. You can request the deletion of your data at any time. To do so, contact us through the form in the footer and we will process your request promptly and ensure that your data is deleted in accordance with relevant data protection laws.
